Wildcat Cove Paddle is hosting another community paddle event on September 18th, 2021, which is National Cleanup Day.
See event on facebook
This paddle is for fun and to meet others who enjoy being on the water while cleaning up trash along the way!
We will meet at 6 pm and paddle from Little Squalicum beach (at the end of Roeder Ave) in Bellingham. This paddle night is open to anyone, at any level, and free of cost—bring-your-own equipment, including safety gear. For paddleboarders, I highly recommend a paddle leash in addition to the required PFD, whistle, and white light source.
***Please also bring a way to collect trash with you on board. Ideas include a trash bag or a small crate.
This paddle will be social and is a way to build up our SUP/paddle community and give back to protect our local waterways!
Note: I will not provide instruction or guidance (unless safety issues arise, in which case I am fully trained in CPR, first aid, and SUP water rescue!)
If anyone is interested in learning or adding to their SUP skills, we can discuss what class of mine would be a good fit as well. I teach everything from beginner classes to intermediate levels and am available for custom/mixed classes and tours as well, year-round.
Let’s get out on the water and have some safe fun while helping to clean up the shoreline. Any questions, contact me ava@wildcatcovepaddle.com
